The Christian Fiction Book That Got Me Calling My Therapist Friend ASAP
I won’t even beat around the bush. If you're looking for a powerful Christian fiction book that explores faith, race, marriage, education, and friendship, you need to read No One Ever Asked by Katie Ganshert.
This book shook👏🏼 me 👏🏼 to 👏🏼 my 👏🏼 core.
Right after I finished the book, I called my friend who’s a Christian therapist and African American because I needed to process everything I had just read. I told her that after reading the book I was infuriated, shaken to my core, dumbfounded, and off. That book threw me off.
I know, I know—but what’s it about, Ismery? I’m gonna get there.
This book is about what happens when people are completely unaware of their biases. This book explores how your life, whether perfect or imperfect, can end in one second.
It really makes you question the strength of your friendships.
How fragile your marriage can be.
What happens when bad people win.
How anger can absorb you so much you can lose your brain.
I think this review can say it better than me at this point, since it will take me at least 5 years to speak coherently about this book.
“Readers find the book engaging and thought-provoking. They describe the story as brilliantly told, with wonderful plots that draw readers into the characters' lives.

Really, I can go on and on but I won’t because I rather you get the book… like right now. Prime it, check it out from the library—I don’t care. Just get the book. You’ll thank me later.
